Basics of Drawing and Painting I will begin with Line and Contour. This is Part 1 of this subsection. To begin with, I will choose everyday objects to sketch just to increase my skills, sketches and rough shapes to improve my eye for proportions. Not worrying about details, as this exercise is just to capture shapes so they are recognisable. This simple exercise is very useful when you are suffering from 'Artists block'.
